German honors club "GHC"
Would you like to promote German throughout PHS and your community? How about being visually recognized for your devotion to German with a colorful graduation cord? Both are possible with your involvement in the newly revised German Honors Club!

Requirements:
- Promote the culture and language of Germany by participating & hosting German activities throughout the school year. (See a list of opportunities here) ((Additional opportunities may not be listed. Run ideas by Kap.))
- GHC operates on a points system (old system operated on cumulative hours) earned through events, tasks, projects, research and time devoted to fundraising. Points per opportunity vary depending on level of involvement in opportunity.
- Attend a quarterly Stammtisch (casual gathering of students with conversation held in German)
- Amass 15 points totaled from three categories: Language, Culture, and Fundraising
Membership:
- Complete application and turn in to Kap Elliott by Friday, September 27, 2019
- Student must have a 3.5 GPA for four previously completed semesters of German classes and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 for their high school career.

Leadership Positions
- Buchhalter/in - Keep accurate record of members's total points earned.
- Finanzchef/in - Keep accurate record of German Help Fund including incoming, outgoing, and distribution of funds
- Manager/in - Run meetings, check-in with members about point progress, work closely with Kap
- Sekretär/in - Compose and send out emails/reminders for meetings/events, create announcements, approve signage
